A lover of French fries, sneakers, and expressive design, Michelle West has always been someone who feels deeply and observes quietly. Equal parts editorial eye, logistical mind, and wholehearted creative, she is design driven and thoughtfully detail oriented, refining each element until it reaches clarity and cohesion, and occasionally getting emotional over French fries or Chunky Monkey ice cream without the chocolate chunks. Though she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology, her heart has always belonged to artistic expression. That balance of intuition and structure now shapes everything she creates.
As founder and creative director of Michelle West Design, Michelle approaches floral design as an act of translation. She begins with emotion before form, listening closely to each client’s story and the atmosphere they hope to cultivate. Inspired by tonal layering and rich, nuanced texture, she composes sculptural arrangements that balance movement with restraint, creating florals that leave an impression without overwhelming a space. Each composition is thoughtfully shaped to honor the story it holds, allowing tone, texture, and form to unfold with quiet confidence.
